As-salaamu ‘alaikum!
This post was so supposed to go up yesterday, but since I didn’t get even 5 solid minutes on the computer (hyper babies), and an unplanned date to the movies with the Hubby, it was left unstarted! So let’s do this! *motivated-face*
When I wore this “Pineapple” scarf for the first time – strike that – ever since I first laid my hands on it, I couldn’t wait to wear it. Although a colour like this might seem a bit intimidating at first, since it has a mustard as opposed to neon undertone, the scarf looks great against almost all colours. Plus, it’s easy to dress up with a nice black dress or down with a contrasting patterned top. I was running a few errands and having a casual dinner with friends that evening, so I opted for the latter, super comfortable option.
So off I went to pick something out, decided to relive my past wardrobe and dug up some old pieces of clothing…
Yey for bootleg trousers and platforms! I remember when everyone was wearing bootlegs at one point, back in the day. I rediscovered my love for them recently when I tried them on just to see if they’d fit and ended up keeping them on the whole day :oD The bowtie pattern jumper is so comfy to wear, and ensured the outfit was dressed down but a lil quirky at the same time ;o)
I bought these bangles a few weeks ago from New Look. Neon arm candy is good for those who don’t want to wear full on bright colours, but like a pop here and there. I love the colours in these.
I adore the versatility of the colour yellow – it’s not something one would immediately think of when putting an outfit together but it actually looks amazing on all skin tones (bar the very pale beauties) and just makes you feel a little more uplifted, especially when Spring is filled with rainy days and cold nights!
How do you like to wear YOUR yellows?
Over and out
Amena
